AMAZON AIR PILOT UNIFORM STYLE GUIDE
Designing a photography-led guide for a new pilot uniform
Amazon Air launched a pilot program with a new uniform collection, and pilots needed a clear introduction to how to wear it. I designed and laid out the 17-page style guide, using on-body photography and feature callouts to set the standard for wear and give pilots their first full look at the uniform system.
INSIDE THE GUIDE
DESIGN SYSTEM HIGHLIGHTS
Styling clarity through on-body demonstration
Photography shows fit, proportion, and layering.
Design intent made visible at the point of use
Callouts explain function and comfort where they matter.
Consistency across climates without visual drift
Outerwear options keep one professional look.
System-ready execution for distribution and scale
Clear layouts let pilots, HR, and leadership apply one standard.
IMPACT
Established a shared understanding of uniform standards for a newly formed pilot team
Clarified the purpose behind key design and styling decisions
Reduced questions and friction during onboarding and uniform distribution
CHALLENGE
The guide had to introduce a new visual identity and set clear expectations for a newly formed pilot team, in a way that felt intuitive and authoritative. The client asked for guidance rather than rigid do and don’t rules, and our studio set the wearing standards from its experience with corporate and aviation uniform programs, with limited pilot input.
WHAT I OWNED
Design and layout of the 17-page guide, including photo selection and how the photography, feature callouts, and outerwear options are presented. I worked with my manager and creative director to align pilot needs with the brand.
